San Ramon Valley Unified School District runs the public schools in Danville, and your resident schools depend on your exact street address. Look it up on the district’s Schoolsite Locator, then confirm with the district, because SRVUSD says students “may not be able to attend their resident school” when a school is full (SRVUSD, Find Your School page, checked September 25, 2026).

How do I find the schools for one Danville address?
Use the district’s tool, then call. Three steps:

Do this before you write an offer, not after. Boundaries can change, and a listing’s “school” line is marketing, not an assignment.
Will I get a seat at my resident school?
Not always. In the district’s words, many schools and grade levels are “impacted by growth” (SRVUSD, Find Your School page, checked September 25, 2026). The district asks families to contact the resident school to verify the address and get more information (same page).
If one specific school is the reason you’re buying a specific house, ask the district two things by phone: is that grade impacted right now, and where do overflow students go. Then decide how much of the price you want to pay for an address that may not come with the seat.
How does San Ramon Valley Unified compare with the state?

- Monte Vista High, 3131 Stone Valley Road. Enrollment 2,042. Graduation 98.7%. 80.9% prepared for college or career. English 95.9 points above standard, math 41.2 above. Suspension 1.7%.
- San Ramon Valley High, 501 Danville Boulevard. Enrollment 2,036. Graduation 96.1%. 72.4% prepared for college or career. English 84.8 points above standard, math 5.1 above. Suspension 0.8%.
The district also lists Del Amigo High, a continuation school, and Venture Independent Study on its schools list.
Which middle schools have Danville addresses?

How much weight should these numbers get?
Some, not all. Dashboard scores are one year of test and attendance data. They move from year to year, and small schools move more. Visit, ask the school about class sizes and programs, and read the full Dashboard page for each school, including results by student group.
Does owning a home here add a school tax?
