Antioch Unified School District serves most Antioch homes, and your assigned school depends on your exact street address. Put the address into AUSD’s School Locator, then confirm it with the district before you write an offer (Antioch Unified, AUSD Enrollment page, checked September 24, 2026).

Below: how to look it up, what the district’s rules say about choosing a different campus, and every AUSD school’s 2025 results from the California School Dashboard.

How do I find the school for one Antioch address?

Use the district’s own tool, then call to confirm.

  1. AUSD School Locator. The AUSD Enrollment page links to the district’s School Locator, a map with an active boundary layer, now at antioch-unified.schoolexplorerapp.com (checked September 25, 2026). Enter the address and note the elementary, middle and high school it shows.
  2. Call the district. AUSD’s main office is at 510 G Street, (925) 779-7500 (AUSD website, checked September 24, 2026). Boundaries can change, and the locator is a tool, not a promise.
  3. Near the city edge? AUSD also runs Orchard Park School, which has an Oakley address on Live Oak Avenue (California School Dashboard, school profile, 2025), so district lines and city lines don’t match. If an address near the edge of Antioch doesn’t return a school, ask AUSD which district serves it.

Can my child attend a different AUSD school?

You can apply. AUSD says parents of any student enrolled in the district may apply to enroll in any district school, regardless of where they live in the district (Board Policy 5116.1), and that transfers into or out of the district are handled separately under Board Policy 5117 (AUSD Enrollment page, checked September 24, 2026). Applying does not mean you get a seat, so ask the district how it decides for the grade you need.

AUSD also lists enrollment options that aren’t tied to your street, including Dual Immersion (TK to 8th grade), ENCORE Homeschool, Prospects Independent Study and Thomas Gaines Virtual Academy (same source).

How does Antioch Unified compare with the state?

Below the state average on most 2025 measures. For all AUSD students, compared with California as a whole (California School Dashboard, Antioch Unified, 2025, checked September 24, 2026):

A school’s street is not its boundary. A house a few blocks from one campus can be assigned to another, so the School Locator comes first.

What about middle and high schools?

2025 results for AUSD’s middle schools and main high schools (California School Dashboard, 2025, checked September 24, 2026):

Dozier-Libbey Medical High Sand Creek Road 9-12 681 57.6 above (Green) 67.3 below (Orange) 98.7% (Blue) 69.7% (Blue)

Deer Valley High’s English score rose 16.5 points and its math score rose 26.2 points from the year before (same source). High school test results come from 11th graders only, so one class can move them a lot.

AUSD also runs Bidwell and Live Oak continuation high schools, Prospects High (alternative) and Thomas Gaines Virtual Academy (same source).

Is Dozier-Libbey Medical High assigned by address?

No. The California Department of Education lists Dozier-Libbey Medical High, at 4900 Sand Creek Road, as an “Alternative Schools of Choice” school for grades 9 to 12 (California Department of Education, School Directory, last updated August 25, 2026, checked September 24, 2026). Buying a home near it does not place a student there. Ask AUSD how admission works and what the timeline is.

What do the Dashboard colors mean?

They combine this year’s result with the change from last year. The five colors, from lowest to highest, are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green and Blue (California School Dashboard). A school can post a low score and still earn Yellow if it improved a lot, or post a decent score and get Orange if it slipped. Read the number and the color together.
